In the Scheme of Things

by Tony Chung on April 23rd, 2007

When I first started Talkmatic, the objective was to archive interesting conversations with interesting individuals. In the last month or so, I’ve come to realize just how many ‘interview podcasts’ are out there on the web. A few examples:

It’s almost become a fad of sorts. Not to mention all the informal interviews bloggers are doing on their websites these days. The objective here at Talkmatic is not to be another interview site trying to distinguish itself from the others. But simply to be different. We strive to emphasize the conversational aspect of Talkmatic, ‘conversations’ versus ‘interviews’.

As Talkmatic continues, we’ll be making changes to reflect the true focus of the site.

Tony, what if you found a way to “democratize” the verbal process online?

I wonder how hard it would be to plan, generate and record a two-way conversation between your subject (Steve Jobs, par exemple) and a circle of (screened) visitors who registered in advance.
